Tottenham Hotspur reveals catering options for new stadium

Tottenham Hotspur intends to give football's "prawn sandwich brigade" a fine-dining experience they won't forget when it opens its state of the art 61,000-seater stadium next year.

The north London-based premier league club will offer a wide range of wining and dining facilities in addition to the traditional pie and pint beloved and bemoaned by football fans nationwide in equal measure, including beer made in its own on-site microbrewery and bread and pastries baked in an on-site bakery.

Spurs' new home, which will be the biggest capacity football stadium in London, is designed to adapt to a variety of sporting and entertainment events with hospitality and catering facilities to match, ranging from "street-food grazing" to in-suite chefs and Michelin-star-quality dining, the club claimed.

The glass-walled Tunnel Club, which literally puts visitors in the players' tunnel, seems set to be the most controversial with even Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino admitting it could be "dangerous" to let the public into the teams' inner sanctum, even if it is via one-way glass.

The H Club, a members' club, will offer a range of Michelin-star calibre dining including the opportunity to dine at the chef's table or with Club legends on a privately hosted table.

On level nine of the stadium, the Sky Lounge will offer a relaxed and informal experience surrounded by panoramic views both within and outside the stadium.

In addition, the new development will be home to what is believed to be the longest general admission bar in a UK stadium at 86.8 metres and to a wide range of regional street food concepts available to all general admission guests.

The world's first stadium microbrewery will produce one million pints of craft beer a year and a new beer delivery system will enable Spurs to serve up to 10,000 pints per minute. The in-house bakery will produce artisan breads and pastries for every food outlet in the stadium, ranging from general admission areas to boxes.

The £750m development has been designed by architects Populous.
