Levy Restaurants snares 10 year zoo deal
Levy Restaurants has signed a 10-year catering deal with Twycross Zoo in Warwickshire.
The zoo is home to the largest collection of primates in the western world and receives over 500,000 visitors a year. Levy will develop a range of retail catering options at the venue to create "a rounded and multi-tiered experience" for visitors. As part of the deal it will also manage sales and marketing activity for all conferences, catering events and hospitality at the zoo.
Levy Restaurants managing director, leisure, Jon Davies said: "We are delighted to welcome Twycross Zoo to our expanding leisure portfolio. We know that high quality food and drink delivers a great visitor experience. Our plans include launching a new table service bistro at the zoo, providing a variety of fresh, cooked to order dishes for our guests. Families can enjoy precious time together sharing dishes as well as benefiting from home-cooked and nutritious kids' meals.
Twycross Zoo chief executive officer Dr Sharon Redrobe said: "As part of our £55m masterplan to make Twycross Zoo one of the UK's leading visitor attractions, we aim to provide the best visitor experience possible and catering is of course an important part of that. We are looking forward to working with the Levy Restaurants UK team and giving our visitors one more reason to come to the zoo.
