Supercity Aparthotels name Dean Madge as new MD

A former general manager of Cheval Residences has been appointed managing director of Supercity Aparthotels to oversee the expansion of the brand.

In his new role he will prepare the company for the launch of two new sites in the City of London and Brighton, later this year or early 2018. The new openings will increase the number of Supercity apartments from 91 across to 203 across five sites.

Madge worked in the hotel sector before joining Cheval Residences in 2013, including stints as general manager, Malmaison London; and cluster general manager, London Heathrow, Premier Inn.

He said that he had been drawn to the position by Supercity's growth plans and the individuality of each location.

"I look forward to expanding on the great achievements by the team, while leading the Supercity brand to excel in key areas including service, consistency, innovation and as an employer of choice.

"At a time when the apartment sector is enjoying great recognition with many guests choosing this type of accommodation over a traditional hotel, we are perfectly placed to exceed and delight those we welcome."
