Grade I-listed Stoke Rochford Hall to undergo multi-million refurbishment
An extensive, multi-million pound refurbishment is underway at the Grade I-listed, 96-bedroom Stoke Rochford Hall, near Grantham, Lincolnshire, following its acquisition last month by the Talash Hotels Group.
Alongside the renovation of all bedrooms and public areas, 50 extra bedrooms and a new enclosure over the swimming pool will be added to the property, which was originally built in the 1840s.
Brothers and owners of the nine-strong Talash Hotels Group, Ravi and Sanjay Kathuria, intend to turn Stoke Rochford Hall into one of the region's leading leisure and wedding venues, as well as grow the company to 20 hotels by 2020.
Sanjay Kathuria said: "The hotel building is magnificent and is set within the most beautiful, idyllic countryside and we want to improve the standards and facilities on offer to visitors to increase its appeal.
"The renovation works are already getting underway and we plan to make the interiors much more luxurious and improve the standard of service provided. We know that there is a great deal that can be done commercially to grow the business and we are looking forward to being able to show off the hotel to its true potential.
Ian Morgan, relationship director at RBS, said that the Kathuria brothers have "an excellent track record when it comes to improving the success of hotels and their plans for Stoke Rochford Hall are very impressive".
Sister properties to Stoke Rochford Hall include Risley Hall Hotel & Spa in Risley, Derbyshire; and Quorn Country hotel in Quorn, Leicestershire.
