Stéphane Reynaud to open first UK restaurant at London Boundary hotel
French chef Stéphane Reynaud is set to open his first restaurant outside Paris, Tratra, at the Boundary hotel in Shoreditch.
The restaurant is set to open in April in the basement of the east London art hotel, and will be the chef's third restaurant. He previously owned and was head chef at restaurant Villa9Trois in Montreuil, just outside Paris, which he sold last year.
A chef for 25 years, his cuisine is described as largely inspired by recipes from the Ardèche region in south-central France where he spent his childhood, and it is believed the restaurant will have an emphasis on meat and charcuterie.
Reynaud has written nine cookbooks to his name, including Pork and Sons, which won the 2005 Grand Prix de la Gastronomie Française, and has another due to be published in October.
The restaurant will be the latest to join the Prescott & Conran, which owns and operates the Boundary hotel, the group's first opening in 2008, as well as the Albions, Lutyens, Les Deux Salons and the latest opening, Parabola at the Design Museum.
