BaxterStorey wins B&I catering hat trick but loses another two

Foodservice firm BaxterStorey has enjoyed a rollercoaster few weeks in the City, winning three major new B&I contracts, including a deal with PwC, and losing two.

BaxterStorey's biggest win of the trio is for PwC where it has supplanted Aramark in a multimillion-pound deal to cater for its staff across the UK, including for the 6,300 people who work at 7 More London.

Meanwhile, it has also won a deal at Amazon's new headquarters at Principal Place in London EC2. The value of the deal is not known.

Finally, it has picked up a hospitality contract for Deutsche Bank in London, where it already held the staff dining contract. The deal said to be worth millions of pounds per year was previously held by Elior.

At around the same time as the three wins came two contract losses. After many years catering for magic circle law firm Slaughter & May, the caterer has said goodbye to its contract at the firm's offices on Bunhill Row in London.

And it has bid farewell to its contract at Blackrock Investments at Drapers Gardens where it has been delivering catering services to around 1,800 employees since 2012, as well as corporate hospitality and a retail shop. The £12m deal also marked the caterer's first franchise with the Starbucks coffee chain when it kicked off five years ago.

BaxterStorey declined to comment on any of the deals.
