Amadeus wins £5m catering contract for award-winning art gallery
Amadeus has sealed a £5m retail and event catering deal at a Warwickshire art gallery.
The company, part of the NEC Group, will deliver wedding and corporate hospitality at Compton Verney as part of the five-year deal.
In addition Amadeus will relaunch the on-site restaurant on 18 March under the new brand name Compton Kitchen.
Amadeus sales director, Chris Reynolds, who led the pitch, commended the company's relationship with the Compton Verney team.
He added: "In particular, they share our commitment to sustainable sourcing and procurement, which looks to support the local economy."
Managing director Kevin Watson described the new business as a fantastic addition to the caterer's portfolio, which includes venues at the NEC in Birmingham as well as external contracts such as Cadbury World and the Scottish Open.
Amadeus has operated for 40 years and the company said it won a record number of tenders in 2016 securing new business contracts totalling more than £30m.
