Adelie Foods launches Daily Bread deli range

The 17-strong product range includes: chicken and avocado flatbread; mozzarella and tomato focaccia; pastrami and emmental ciabatta; and the industry-first ham and mozzarella simit (a circular, sesame seed-coated bread, typically baked in Istanbul).

Daily Bread has been developed to offer operators a hand-crafted, artisan-style product. Product details are communicated via a deli-style tag, and the Daily Bread brand name is not displayed on the product, allowing retailers and operators to focus on the product without brand distraction.

John Want, marketing director at Adelie Foods, said: "As the Food to Go market continues to evolve at pace, consumers rightly expect and demand the highest quality, taste and flavour selection from products that they buy to enjoy on-the-go or at their desks. We're launching Daily Bread to satisfy those exact needs with our fresh, delicatessen-style products. Our chefs have developed the recipes using the best British proteins and the freshest produce. This also means the majority of the range is Food 4 Life complaint, which is a real boost for contract caterers."

Adelie supplies over 3,000,000 fresh sandwiches and 250,000 salad packs every week from five manufacturing locations and seven distribution centres across the country.
