The Restaurant Group puts six more sites up for sale

The Restaurant Group has put a further six of its former restaurants up for sale.

The six sites add to the 23 it put on the market in January, all of which had already closed.

The restaurants comprise four Frankie & Benny's outlets and two Coast to Coast venues and are available on an individual basis. They are:

  • Frankie & Benny's, Borehamwood
  • Frankie & Benny's, Edinburgh
  • Former Frankie & Benny's, Gateshead (Clasper Way)
  • Coast to Coast, Hemel Hempstead
  • Frankie & Benny's, Newport (Friars Walk)
  • Coast to Coast, Nottingham (Intu Victoria Centre)

David Bell, head of UK leisure at Savills, which is marketing the properties, said: "Those brought to market earlier this year have attracted interest from a range of established retail and leisure operators as well as new entrants, thanks to the diverse mix of locations involved, and we expect these additional sites to do the same."

Savills is also retained to acquire new sites for TRG across the Midlands, East Anglia, the South of England and Wales.

Last week, troubled operator TRG announced plans to turn the business around, alongside the publication of its annual financial results, which showed a drop in sales of 3.9%.
