London Fashion Week helped boost the performance of hotels in the capital during February, with revenue per available room (revpar) up 7.5% year-on-year to £102.85, according to preliminary figures published by hotel data company STR.

Occupancy also increased by 2.7%, compared to February 2016, to 77.6%, while average daily rate was up 4.7% to £132.50.

Meanwhile, the 5.5% increase in demand for hotel rooms, outstripped the 2.8% rise in supply.
