Marco Pierre White to open Southampton Steakhouse
Marco Pierre White is set to open a new Steakhouse Bar & Grill at Southampton's Grand Harbour hotel this May.
Following an annual pop-up restaurant at the hotel during the Southampton Boat Show, the 146-cover restaurant will now become a permanent fixture, offering steaks, English and French classic dishes and cocktails.
Marco Pierre White is an active shareholder and investor in Black and White Hospitality (BWH). The company owns the franchise rights to five Marco Pierre White restaurant brands: Wheeler's of St. James's, Steakhouse Bar & Grill, Mr. White's English Chophouse, Marco's New York Italian and Bardolino Espresso & Bellini Bar. The company works alongside hotel owners to provide a branded F&B solution and has 32 restaurants across the UK and Northern Ireland, and most recently opened a Bardolino in Swindon.
Marco said: "We've received some great feedback from those who visited us during the Southampton Boat Show, and it's great to now be bringing visitors a permanent restaurant. I'm incredibly excited to spend more time in the region, and to watch this new restaurant unfold."
Nick Taplin, chief executive of BWH, said: "We've hosted several pop-up eateries at the Grand Harbour hotel over the years, and we feel it is the perfect location to showcase the impressive Steakhouse Bar & Grill brand, with excellent food and drink at pricing to suit all budgets."
Lara Beechey, general manager at the Grand Harbour hotel, added: "We have no doubt we're the perfect venue for Marco's steakhouse and we're delighted to be bringing this exciting concept to Southampton for diners to enjoy."
