Beastro restaurant set to open in Manchester

The street food traders behind Manchester's Bangers and Bacon are to open Beastro in the city's Spinnigfields having won the developer's the Kitchens project.

Founders Richard Brown, James and Heather Taylor, were one of six traders who took a unit at Leftbank for the 12-month competition period, before winning a permanent site on the estate from developer Allied London.

Brown began his career in hospitality working under Paul Kitchen at Juniper kitchens in Altrincham. He launched his own street food brand in 2014 with Shake, Moroc and Roll, before teaming up with James and Heather Taylor to create Bangers and Bacon.

Brown said: "Allied London have supported us on this journey, ever since the initial competition was launched by Michael Ingall. They gave street food operators a chance to test out ideas, and spent a year advising and organising us. Now it's time for us to show everyone the fruits of our labour and we can't wait to get started."

Beastro's design is that of a 'modern farm house' with the signature Beastro green featuring strongly throughout.
