Meat Liquor to open eighth London site at King's Cross
Meat Liquor has announced plans to open a new site at King's Cross this summer, its eighth in the capital.
The 90-cover gourmet burger restaurant will be opening inside a 1,800 sq ft former tramshed at No. 6 St Chad's Place, near Honest Burgers and Pizza Union, with a design by Shed Design retaining many of the building's original features.
Co-founders Scott Collins and Yianni Papoutsis grew the brand from a street van in 2009, with their first permanent site opening in Marylebone in 2011.
As well as sites in Croydon, East Dulwich and Islington, Meat Liquor also has venues in Bristol, Leeds and Brighton, and operates Meat Mission in Hoxton, Meat Market in Covent Garden and Chicken Liquor in Brixton. The new site is the brand's 11th restaurant overall.
Collins said: "Shelley Sandzer have excelled in helping us find this totally unique space in central London. This will be a truly original Meat Liquor restaurant in London."
Nick Weir, joint managing partner at leisure property agency Shelley Sandzer, which advised on the deal, said: "This wonderful, historic building is absolutely perfect for Meat Liquor and we are thrilled to utilise our expert knowledge in securing it for them."
