Rosa's Thai Café launches Saiphin's Thai Kitchen
The team behind the Rosa's Thai Café chain has created a new Thai food concept that it plans to roll out alongside its existing brand.
The first Saiphin's Thai Kitchen will open in London Fields, with its further roll out masterminded by former investment banker Simon Penney who will be exploring funding opportunities.
Until this point the growth of Rosa's Thai Cafe to eight sites has been self funded.
Saiphin's Thai Kitchen will offer a delivery, take-away and eat-in service.
Dishes will include: Saiphin's signature red curry with butternut squash and sweet basil; char-grilled sirloin marinated in mixed spices, served with spicy chilli sauce and steamed vegetables; Papaya salad with long beans, tomatoes, dried shrimp and cashew nuts; Tom Yum soup (a spicy and sour soup with tomatoes, mushroom, topped with fresh herbs); and drunken noodles (spicy flat noodles stir fried with holy basil sauce and Thai herbs).
The website states: "Our head chef/founder, Saiphin (pronounced Sai-Pin), grew up on a vegetable farm in Khao Kho, northern Thailand. This is where she learned to cook with ingredients that were brought straight from the field to kitchen.
"Drawing from her family recipes and the philosophy of cooking with the freshest ingredients, Saiphin's Thai Kitchen brings out the best that Thai cuisine has to offer."
The brand, which consists Rosa's Thai Café and Lao Café is owned by Saiphin and Alex Moore. Last month, they opened the eighth branch of Rosa's Thai Café, with further openings scheduled for West Hampstead, Seven Dials and One Tower Bridge.
