Deliciously Ella to launch the Kitchen Counter in Herne Hill
Ella Mills, founder of Deliciously Ella, is to launch her third site, the Kitchen Counter, in London's Herne Hill this Easter.
The Kitchen Counter will be an extension of Deliciously Ella's development kitchen and will offer coffee, lunches, brunches and healthy, light dinners. The site will have 23 covers, and feature an open-plan pastry kitchen and a large sharing table, as well as stools and window counters.
Following the opening of MaE in Mayfair in 2015 and the MaE Deli in Marylebone last year, the new site will offer a selection of breakfast options, from porridge and smoothies, to sweetcorn fritters with baked beans and avocado. For lunch and dinner, a selection of salads will be on offer, as well as soups and sweets, including the signature MaE cake and brownies.
New seasonal dishes will also be rotated on the menu, including rye sandwiches and ‘taster specials', where samples of new dishes created by Mills and her team will be shared with customers.
A children's menu will also be introduced, featuring dishes such as the ‘kids platter' (falafel, hummus, carrot and celery sticks) and roasted polenta sticks with tomato sauce.
As with its sister sites, the Herne Hill offering will be free from wheat, dairy, additives and refined sugar.
Mills said: "The kitchen is the heartbeat of our business, and we're so excited to be a member of such a close-knit, supportive and collaborative local community. Our customers at the Kitchen Counter will be the first to try new creations through our ‘taster specials' and we're also thrilled to launch our first children's menu."
