Neil Rankin is to open a second Temper restaurant in Angel, London, with curry on the menu.
The site, according to commercial property website CoStar, is 4,800 sq ft and is the last to be sold at the Angel Court development.
It will be the second Temper site after the launch of Rankin’s BBQ-meat restaurant in London’s Soho.
Rankin said that each new Temper would feature a different take on barbecue, with Mexican influences on the menu at the Soho site and curry flavours to take centre stage at Angel Court.
The Angel Court development, designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, consists of office space, known as the Sky Floors, and 16,000sq ft of restaurant space, called the Garden Floors.
Rankin will be joining Peruvian restaurant and member’s club Coya; Natural Kitchen; and speciality coffee, food & wine company, Notes.
The first Temper on Broadwick Street in Soho opened in November 2016. Before then, Rankin was executive chef at Noble Inns where he launched Smokehouse restaurants in Islington and Chiswick.
Speculation arose in January when Rankin posted an image on Instagram, where he operates under the name @frontlinechef, which said “here we go again” alongside an image of restaurant plans.
