Ivy Collection submits plans for Harrogate restaurant

The Ivy Collection has revealed plans to open a new restaurant in Harrogate, Yorkshire, through an application made to Harrogate Borough Council.

A spokesperson from the Collection told the Harrogate Advertiser: “Harrogate is such an historic town and we very much look forward to joining the community. Subject to planning approval it is our intention to open the restaurant in November this year.”

The group also revealed plans to open a brasserie in Manchester’s Spinningfields district through a licence application to Manchester City Council last month, as well as plans for an Ivy City Garden restaurant set to open in June.

The original Ivy restaurant in London’s Covent Garden does not come under the Ivy Collection, which is controlled by Caprice Holdings, however both are controlled by Richard Caring. The Ivy Collection is made up of four grills and brasseries in Covent Garden, Chelsea Garden, Kensington and Bristol; and three cafes in Marylebone, Wimbledon and St John’s Wood, with a fourth planned for Cobham in Surrey.
