Prawn on the Lawn to move to larger site

Fishmonger and restaurant Prawn on the Lawn in London Islington is moving its restaurant to a bigger site nearby.

Established in 2013 by Rick Toogood and wife Katie, it began life as a seafood bar and fishmonger and expanded to become a 16-cover basement restaurant, serving fresh seafood and tapas-style fish dishes but limited to a cold food license.

The new site will enable it to serve a full hot food menu and offer approximately 35 covers on the ground floor and a private dining room for approximately 15 covers.

The brand, which also has a 24-cover restaurant in Padstow, Cornwall, which opened in 2015, will be closing its current site on 22 April and reopening on 27 April at 292-294 St. Paul's Road on the site of a former LeCoq restaurant.
