Cyclists invited to join Springboard's 2017 Team Velo Challenge
Springboard is inviting participants of all abilities to take on the charity's three-day cycle Team Velo Challenge from London to Paris this September.
Launched by the Genuine Dining Company with the support of Pullman Hotels, and now in partnership with Sky, the Team Velo Challenge aims to raise funds for the Springboard Charity, which supports people in the UK hospitality, tourism and leisure industry.
The cycling challenge will take place 21-23 September and finish at the Eiffel Tower with a Champagne reception.
The route:
•Day 2: Caen - Le Neubourg. Distance: 68 miles.
•Day 3: Le Neubourg - Paris. Distance: 76 miles.
By registering a team, each cyclist commits to raising a minimum of £500. Registrations for teams and individuals are now open. For further details visit http://teamvelochallenge.co.uk/
Damian Saunders, strategy and commercial director for Sky Business, said: "The enthusiasm and camaraderie last year was brilliant and we're looking forward to supporting another successful event to raise even more funds for this very important cause."
Anne Pierce, Springboard chief executive, said: "You meet some great people, you see some great sights, but most of all it's a way of raising funds to make a difference to people's lives - and that's always worth the effort!"
Chris Mitchell, managing director of the Genuine Dining Company, added: ''I can't believe this is Team Velo's sixth year. It started with a team of six of us and every year it's grown so we must be doing something right. I'm really proud that GDC are responsible for starting such an exciting event that enables Springboard to continue their important fundraising work.''
