The Ivy Brasserie to open Leeds restaurant

The Ivy has submitted an application to Leeds City Council to open an Ivy Brasserie on Vicar Lane.

The plans, submitted on 9 June by commercial property agency GVA, are pending a decision.

The proposed restaurant would see the conversion of three properties at the entrance of Victoria Quarter become a single 195-cover restaurant.

Victoria Gate is owned by Hammerson, a developer of retail properties and is part of the 574,745 sq ft Victoria Estate, which encompasses the Victoria Quarter.

The Ivy Brasserie will join Benugo; Cau; East 59th; Issho; Le Pain Quotidien; and Pret.

The Ivy Collection is a group of restaurants, brasseries and cafés established in London offering all-day dining in a relaxed, local setting, and as well as sites in London, Bristol and Surrey, is set to open at London's Tower Bridge and in Bath later this year.
