Maître Choux to open second site in Soho

A second Maître Choux French-style pâtisserie and café from Joakim Prat is opening on Soho's Dean Street this October.

The first choux pastry patisserie opened in South Kensington two years ago offering eclairs, choux and chouquettes (empty choux pastry balls topped with pearl sugar). Prat was formerly head pastry chef at the three-Michelin-starred Can Fabes in Spain and two-Michelin-starred restaurants L'atelier de Joël Robuchon and the Greenhouse both in London.

A bigger site than South Kensington, Maître Choux Soho will have a more spacious seating area, and will offer tea, coffee, and thick hot chocolate made from a Basque recipe from Prat's grandmother.

Maître Choux Soho will offer the same core range of hand-crafted designs featuring eclairs like lemon meringue and bergamot, Spanish raspberry and hazelnut, and milk chocolate treasure, as well as regularly changing specials.
As with South Kensington, orders will also be taken for bespoke designs, both corporate and private.
