BaxterStorey wins three-year contract with the Pirbright Institute
BaxterStorey has been awarded a three-year contract extension with the Pirbright Institute near Woking.
The new contract will see the catering firm provide food for up to 300 staff at the research facility from all day café services, breakfast and lunch and snacks, alongside working lunches for corporate meetings, as well as buffets for special events.
All meals will be from locally-sourced produce.
Graham Olds, regional director at BaxterStorey, said: "It's a real privilege to have been appointed as the Pirbright Institute's hospitality provider for a further three years. This reflects the close working relationship we have with our client team and our understanding of their business, which enables us to deliver a truly bespoke service.
"We believe our innovative approach to foodservice, local sourcing and using seasonal ingredients will continue to make a real difference to its staff. We can't wait to introduce even more of our BaxterStorey food initiatives and pop-ups, which we hope will be just as popular."
Mike Johnson, director of capability at the Pirbright Institute, added: "We are delighted to be extending our contract with BaxterStorey. We have always been really impressed with the tailored approach that has continued to be updated and enhanced, particularly the focus on employee wellbeing and BaxterStorey's commitment to providing nutritional meals using local produce."
The Pirbright Institute is a National Institute of Bioscience (NIB) research facility that aims to prevent and control viral diseases of livestock and those that spread from animals to people. The Institute employs around 350 staff, research students and visiting scientists.
