Swedish company to acquire Hilton London Heathrow Airport for £80m

The 398-bedroom Hilton London Heathrow Airport is to be acquired by Swedish hotel developer, owner and operator Pandox for £80m.

The hotel, which is connected to Terminal 4 by a covered walkway, is operated by Adda Hotels, a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide Holdings, under a revenue-based lease agreement with 26 years remaining.

All bedrooms and conference spaces have been renovated over the past five years. The renovation of the restaurant, bar, lobby and gym is planned for 2018-2019.

Anders Nissen, chief executive of Pandox, said the hotel enjoyed "high occupancy and good average rates and contributes to a further diversification of our portfolio".

Some of the properties are operated under international hotel brands, including Scandic, Leonardo, InterContinental, Hilton, Hyatt, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn and Radisson Blu. A number are also managed independently.
