Middletons Steakhouse to open its largest restaurant in Peterborough

Middletons Steakhouse & Grill is opening its seventh and largest restaurant in Peterborough next month.

Middletons Steakhouse & Grill will open its Peterborough city centre site on 8 September following a £1m refurbishment converting retail units in St Peter's Arcade on Bridge Street into the chain's largest steakhouse.

Dining areas are being created across two floors, on the ground floor and at the basement level, to create 180 covers in total. An al fresco dining area will seat a further 50 diners.

Stephen Hutton, the chain's managing director, said: "We feel Peterborough has a very promising future. There has been significant investment into regenerating the city and many well-known businesses and brands are moving into the area. For us, this is a brilliant opportunity."

Middletons Steakhouse & Grill opened its first restaurant in Middleton, Norfolk in July 2011, serving steak as well as mixed grills, seafood, burgers, cocktails and desserts. All meat served at its restaurants is prepared at the restaurant's own butchery in Middleton. The brand now has branches in Colchester, King's Lynn, Leicester, Milton Keynes (pictured), Norwich and Watford.
