After three years as managing director of Simon Rogan’s Umbel Restaurant Group, David Simms has taken up a new role of managing director at Richard Corrigan’s Corrigan Restaurants.
Corrigan Restaurants includes Bentley’s; Corrigan’s Mayfair; and Dickies Bar all in Mayfair and Virginia Park Lodge in Ireland.
Simms told The Caterer: “This was the perfect opportunity to take on a new challenge as well as being closer to my family home. I learned a great deal from my time with Simon Rogan and I will always cherish that. Working with Richard Corrigan is an exciting new chapter.”
Simms worked for the Umbel restaurant group – which encapsulates L’Enclume; L’Enclume House; Aulis; Rogan & Co all in Cartmel, and Our Farm, Cartmel Valley – for almost three years.
He left the company in June 2017.
Trained as a chef, Simms also has previous experience at Le Gavroche, Alison Price & Company and Restaurant Associates.
