Coyote Ugly bar asks the public to determine location of second site

The next Coyote Ugly bar will open in a city chosen by the general public.

Inspired by the Coyote Ugly film, which was released in 2000 and featured female bartenders played by Tyra Banks, Bridget Moynahan and Piper Perabo, the Cardiff-based bar has drawn fans from around the UK.

The public can vote for one of 12 different cities in the UK and Ireland including: Belfast, Birmingham, Blackpool, Bournemouth, Bristol, Dublin, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Liverpool, London, Manchester and Newcastle.

A statement on the Coyote Ugly Facebook page states: “Where should the next Coyote Ugly Saloon open in the UK or Ireland. Vote now for your CITY and you could well be getting an invite to the opening event! Vote now at https://www.coyoteuglywales.com/where-next then share this post – it’s all in your hands!”

The public vote ends on 18 September.

Steve Lewis launched the first Coyote Ugly bar last year. It, like the film, has female dancers on the bar.

It has 40 private-hire booths and an American BBQ which cooks food such as ribs, brisket and pulled pork until 10pm.
