British Country Inns portfolio for sale

The British Country Inns' portfolio of pubs is for sale to return capital to its investors.

Investment goals set out at the company's founding in 2005 have been reached, and therefore its 13 food-led pubs in its portfolio have been put on the market.

Christie & Co is inviting offers for the portfolio, multiple sites and individual pubs. Neil Morgan, managing director of pubs and restaurant at Christie & Co, said: "This sale presents a tremendous opportunity for either a new entrant looking to buy their way into the market, or an experienced operator looking to expand their estate."

The properties for sale are:
Plough Inn, Suffolk
Red Lion, Buckinghamshire
Wooden Fender, Essex (pictured)
George Inn, Somerset
Pimpernel, Somerset
Hollybush Inn, Worcestershire
Meadow Inn, Shropshire
The Oak, Worcestershire
Swan at Forton, Staffordshire
Inn on the Wye, Herefordshire
Old Barn Inn, Powys
