The Parks Trust is an independent, self-funded charity that cares for and maintains over 6,000 acres of green space across Milton Keynes, including its popular parks such as Willen Lake and Campbell Park as well as the ancient woodlands of Howe Park, Linford and Shenley Woods.
This year The Trust was awarded The Green Flag for the network of parks it manages in Milton Keynes. Providing opportunities for relaxation, exploration and exercise, the parks are carefully managed and provide a positive contribution to the city of Milton Keynes.
Campbell Park comprises over 100 acres of diverse landscape ranging from formal gardens to woodland to water features and open pasture. Its generous open spaces accommodate a busy event schedule and its high position provides far reaching views into the surrounding countryside and vistas of the Milton Keynes landscape. The park is situated close to Central Milton Keynes and is surrounded by many exciting developments.
e are seeking a high quality catering operator to manage, under a concession contract, a new 275 sq m café planned for construction in Campbell Park in 2018. The café will form one half of a £4.5m architecturally unique building on a site adjacent to the events plateau. With planning already granted it is envisaged that construction will commence in 2018 with fit out and occupation of the café in early 2019.
Situated in the heart of Milton Keynes, close to the shopping and business centres, Theatre District, leisure outlets such as Xscape and flanked on three sides by residential housing Campbell Park occupies a prime position. It is expected that the café will operate seven days a week all-year round with evening opening if there is demand.
e five-year concession contract will commence early 2019.
