Victor Garvey’s Catalan restaurant Rambla will open on 4 October at 64 Dean Street, Soho.
Split over two floors, the 60-cover restaurant will open in two stages.
The ground floor will open first for dinner only with the basement opening in the coming weeks offering a lunch time service.
The menu features dishes such as fresh Mediterranean calamari stuffed with prawn and lobster in its own ink sauce; braised oxtail canelones with cheese sauce; and ‘Bocatta de Butifarra Negra’ – a Catalan black pudding sandwich with green apple slaw.
It will have an all-Spanish wine list alongside gins and cocktails.
Rambla is Garvey’s second opening in 2017 – following the launch of his wine and cheese bar Sibarita in Covent Garden in June – but his third solo venture including Encant, which opened in 2016.
Designed by Rees Associates, the interior of Rambla is inspired by Barcelona’s beachfront restaurants.
Garvey said: “I’m incredibly excited to be opening Rambla on Dean Street. It’s without doubt one of the most exciting streets in London with its concentration of great restaurants, bars and members’ clubs like Tonkotsu, Barrafina, Quo Vadis and the Groucho. To be opening my biggest restaurant to date in such an amazing location is an honour, and the team and I can’t wait to bring Catalan cuisine to Soho.”
