Chik'n begins expanding across London

Responsible fried chicken restaurant Chik'n has kick-started its plan to expand across London with the announcement of a second opening in Islington next year.

The second restaurant will be located on Islington's Upper Street. The brand intends to expand across London before heading to other major cities around the UK in the next 2-4 years

Chik'n Islington is due to open in February and will focus on a different demographic of families and late-night diners - featuring its own beer on tap.

Its first site on Baker Street in London served up around 10,000 portions of chicken in its first week of trading back in July.

Founders Carl Clarke and David Wolanski are also behind the Chick‘n'Sours chain. They launched Chik'n as a ‘guilt-free' chicken shop and offers food made using ethically sourced ingredients and free-range chicken from Castlemead in Somerset.

Their mission is to "serve healthy, happy chicken to healthy, happy people".

It serves breakfast lunch and dinner, with the menu revolving around chicken which has been fried in rapeseed oil. It offers sandwiches, wings, fries, sides and dips.
