For three months starting 15 January 2018, Rosa’s Thai Cafe in London’s Soho will become ‘Rosa’s Thai Veggie’.
The restaurant is launching the vegetarian pop-up with menus offering new dishes including tofu satay, laab mushrooms, panang tofu and tom kha mushroom soup. These will sit alongside vegetarian versions of classic dishes like Thai green curry and pad Thai, and options already on the Rosa’s menus including papaya salad and stir-fried aubergine.
The vegetarian takeover is a response to the huge uplift and demand for vegetarian dishes across the group, which aims to showcase a diverse selection of Thai food, including a northern Thai menu at Seven Dials, noodle specials at Carnaby and a North Eastern (Isaan) menu at Victoria.
Co-founder Saiphin Moore said: “I’m really excited to offer my customers a restaurant dedicated to vegetarian principles. It’s a great way to showcase the versatility and exciting dishes possible in Thai food using only vegetables.”
The brand, which consists of Rosa’s Thai Café and Lao Café, is owned by Saiphin Moore and her husband Alex. There are 11 Rosa’s Thai Cafes across London.
