Staycity announces six new aparthotels

Dublin-based aparthotel operator has announced a further six property openings for 2019-2020, including one in Manchester.

The new site in Manchester on St Peter's Square will have 250 apartments and will join two existing Staycity properties in the city. It will open in 2019.

The company, which currently has 11 aparthotels in the UK and Europe, is also set to launch near Disneyland Paris, Venice, Berlin and Dublin (two sites).

The latest openings to be announced will be in addition to a new aparthotel set to launch this year in Liverpool, as well as the first of a new premium brand, Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity, which will open in London this spring. A second Wilde Aparthotels by Staycity will launch in Edinburgh next year.

Tom Walsh, chief executive and founder of Staycity, said: "These aparthotels are all in fantastic locations and offer exciting opportunities for us to grow our brand and our estate. The company now has the right team in place to enable and facilitate this expansion, although we look forward to recruiting locally for each of our new properties over the course of the next 12 months."

The company also announced that turnover for the group grew by around 25% last year.
