New 130-bedroom hotel to open at Warwickshire polo club

A 130-bedroom boutique-style hotel is being developed as part of £122m expansion plans at the Dallas Burston Polo Club in Southam, Warwickshire.

Set to open in the summer, the £10m new-build hotel will feature 50 internal bedrooms, 80 self-contained bedrooms with kitchen facilities and a themed bar and reception.

It will be managed by IXL Events, the team behind the operation of the Dallas Burston Polo Club, which sits within a 600-acre estate featuring six polo grounds, an events centre, all-weather arena and clubhouse.

The Milestone Hare pub recently opened on the site, with views across the polo fields, following a £1.5m investment.

The development of the club is being funded by former GP and pharmaceutical entrepreneur Dr Dallas Burston, who was listed on the Sunday Times Rich List 2017 with a fortune of £110m.

Dr Burston and an in-house team at the polo club are creating the hotel's interior design.
