Danny and Kieran Clancy’s Hoxton-based restaurant, Beagle, may be the latest London restaurant to shut its doors.
As Twitter user @BigEater spotted, the restaurant looked as if it was closed yesterday.
When The Caterer called the restaurant the phone was engaged and the website has been shut down.
Prospective diners have gone to Twitter to air their confusion.
@beaglelondon hi, been trying to confirm details for a booking at the end of Jan but website is down and phone is permanently engaged…

@beaglelondon can you confirm if you are closing/have closed down? My cousin has her wedding booked with you in April and would appreciate some contact!

Beagle restaurant, bar and coffee shop opened in April 2013 with James Ferguson (ex Rochelle Canteen) at the helm. It’s a Michelin recommended restaurant with inspectors noting the “British menu, with touches of Italian.”
Fears for the restaurant come after yesterday’s announcement that the Galvin brothers’ first restaurant, Galvin Bistrot de Luxe in Marylebone, is to close next month after 12 years in operation.
Neighbouring restaurant 8 Hoxton Square also closed its doors this month.
