Gordon Ramsay Holdings appoints new director as another departs

Gordon Ramsay Holdings announced the departure of Geoffrey Eades as a company director.

The restaurant group simultaneously notified Companies House of the appointment of Andrew Wenlock to the position of director.

Wenlock joined the group in 2011 as operations manager and was promoted to managing director in 2016. He had previously worked for Patisserie Holdings and Pizza Hut.

Eades, known as ‘the doctor' for his experience nursing struggling companies back to health, held the position of interim finance director in 2011 and has remained with the firm since.

Accounts filed in June 2017 had listed Eades, Ramsay himself and Stuart Gillies as directors of the company.

Last month The Caterer exclusively revealed that reports were circulating that Gillies had left the group, but the CEO denied this when contacted and the company has not responded to requests for comment.

Sources had told The Caterer that Wenlock was expected to replace Gillies as CEO.

No documents have been filed with Companies House related to Gillies' position as a director of the company.
