Healthy eating chain Tossed acquires Vital Ingredient
Healthy fast-food chain Tossed has acquired Vital Ingredient for an undisclosed sum, adding 13 stores to its portfolio.
Vital Ingredient, which specialises in made-to-order soups and salads, was purchased from administrators by the FCFM group in January.
The expanded group will operate from 38 locations in London, Welcome Break service stations and Dubai.
Tossed founder and managing director, Vincent McKevitt, said: "We are very excited to create one of the largest healthy eating groups in the UK.
"We look forward to growing the business and taking healthy eating to even more people.
"Our companies have different strengths and we are looking forward to taking the best from both.
"Vital has a great team and superb locations, whilst Tossed is strong in hot food and technology.
"We will look to review our systems and cherry pick the best from both brands."
Records filed with Companies House show that in the year to 31 March 2017 Tossed made a pre-tax loss of £171,384 despite turnover of £10m.
