Chef drives stranded diners home in snow storm

Chef Andrew Nutter came to the rescue of his stranded diners on Saturday driving them through the snowfall after their meals.

Nutter had 62 cancellations at his restaurant Nutters, in Rochdale, on 17 March and of those who did make their reservations 28 were left stranded as taxis failed to arrive.

The chef, along with colleague Stuart Marshall, stepped up to personally drive the diners home.

Speaking to The Caterer Nutter said: "There was no chance of people getting home from the restaurant as the taxis weren't able to make it up to the restaurant. We wanted to make their lives easier and heighten spirits by playing The Greatest Showman soundtrack and singing along."
