Frozen food manufacturer Paramount 21 has launched a range of gluten-free products certified by Coeliac UK. There are two vegan burgers – the quinoa, beet and edamame; and the BBQ lentil and mixed seed – and a spicy blackened salmon burger. There are also two fishcakes: the cod and asparagus, and the katsu curry.

Refrigeration equipment maker Hoshizaki has expanded its Snowflake Generation II portfolio with a series of counter units in an assortment of sizes. The units are available with a 100mm welded splashback, anti-tilt drawers, LED display, variable temperature control and an operational range of between -2°C and +8°C.

The Kold Group has launched an alcoholic drink, Kalosa Spritz, that contains only 99 calories. There are two variants: elderflower and gin is a blend of apples, elderflower, a dash of lemon juice and premium gin; and pink grapefruit and vodka is a blend of grapefruit and cranberries mixed with premium vodka. Both are 4% ABV.

Rubies in the Rubble vegan mayonnaise
Condiment supplier Rubies in the Rubble has launched two mayonnaises using the leftover water from tinned legumes as a vegan alternative to egg white, whisked with rapeseed oil, white wine vinegar, salt and lemon juice. The aquafaba mayo contains Dijon mustard, while the chipotle mayo has chilli powder and sundried tomato.
