First glimpse inside new Bluebird Café in Television Centre

D&D London has revealed the first glimpse inside the new Bluebird Café, which will open as part of the £8b regeneration of Television Centre on 11 April.

The café in London's White City has been designed by David d'Almada's Sagrada and incorporates British styling from the 1960s and modern Bluebird Chelsea glamour.

Artwork, sourced by Fraser Scott, will include works by young British artists as well as colourful designs inspired by Bridget Riley and Celia Birtwell.

The sister site to the original Bluebird restaurant in Kings Road, London, will be an all-day drinking and dining destination incorporating a café, bar and all-year-round terrace.

Bluebird Restaurants' executive chef Simon Gregory has created a modern European menu, which will be served from 8am to 11pm daily and feature dishes including ‘nduja-crusted yellowfin tuna with grilled onion and green sauce; butter chicken curry with basmati rice and burnt chilli and spiced king prawns with yoghurt and pistachio.

Desserts and classic pastries, both savoury and sweet, will be created by award-winning executive pastry chef, Roger Pizey.
