Have tales of sheep being installed in hotel rooms or limited edition steak infused fragrances left you baffled this morning?

Well that will be because it's April Fools' Day when fake news rules supreme - the good, the bad and the frankly disturbing. Here are some of the best from the hospitality industry.

Steakhouse STK London proudly announced the launch of its debut, limited edition fragrance Eau de Boeuf, with some disturbing imagery.

Bragging of fragrance's notes of smoky oak and meat infused intensity STK claimed it was a "unique symbol of rare glamour".

That's a prime-fib.

London based vegetarian and vegan restaurant group tibits announced the launch of the country's first vegan gym.

Working with a personal trainer it claimed to have created a range of veg-inspired exercises including Butterfly Squats, Cauliflower Crunches, Fruit Flys and Melon Curls.

What a load of car-rot!

Conference Aston, Birmingham largest residential conference centre, claimed that it had moved a flock of "urban sheep" into the hotel to help guests enjoy a peaceful night's sleep.

Paul Bunce, commercial manager at Conference Aston, said: "As an educational venue we are always keen to support new research and we are looking forward to hearing how our guests find the counting sheep experience."

That's just baaaa-my.

Minor car body repair specialist ChipsAway announced a move into the takeaway food market with the launch of a mobile fish and chip shop service.

Speaking about the formation of the sister company, also named ChipsAway, managing director Tim Harris said: "We have adapted our current ChipsAway van to include a serving hatch, as well as all the necessary cooking equipment, and it works perfectly!"

What a load of cods-wallop.

Jurys Inn hotel group announced the launch of its new specially designed breakfast pyjamas featuring mirrored collars to check for buffet refills, napkin cuffs and odour eliminating pockets to aid sausage smuggling.

The easy wipe clothing, which claimed to release fresh citrus scents was described as "the very best in comfort and style".

The Caterertoday reported on the opening of a new vegan restaurant that will allow diners to butcher their own ‘meat free' steaks.

Clean Cut would feature alternative proteins moulded to look like animal carcasses, with specially developed beetroot-based ‘blood' ensuring a realistic experience.
