Alice Woodwark has been appointed managing director of Restaurant Associates, the fine-dining arm of Compass Group UK & Ireland.

Woodwark, who was previously managing director of Chartwells Independent, replaces James Boyle, who is moving to the USA to lead a global client account for Compass Group, after 11 years with Restaurant Associates.

Prior to this, Alice was group head of strategy and mergers and acquisitions at Compass Group PLC, having joined Compass from McKinsey & Company, where she specialised in operational transformation and business building, at the end of 2013.

Woodwark commented: "Restaurant Associates is a fantastic organisation with a strong culinary heritage. We have outstanding talent and great clients and I'm looking forward to further developing the business and working with the team."

Chris Garside, Managing Director, Compass Group UK & Ireland said: "I am delighted to welcome Alice. She brings with her exceptional experience and an outstanding track record of delivering great results."
