This week’s new products: Rubicon street drinks, dairy-free Baileys and more

A look at the latest food, drink and equipment to hit the market.

There’s a new collection of Rubicon Street Drinks on the block, comprising four flavours inspired by recipes from around the world. Sharbat is a traditional Turkish combination of pomegranate and rose; Agua Fresca comprises watermelon, lime and mint; Indian-inspired Nimbu Pani includes lemon, cumin and mint; and African influences are found in Bissap, with hibiscus and ginger.

The new vegan variant blends the nutty flavours of sweet almond oil and almond essence with vanilla.

Brakes has launched its Winter Collection 2018/19. Main courses include vegetarian pumpkin and sage tortelloni, and vegan options such as lentil and chickpea dhal, and butternut and lentil wellington. The desserts range features a vegan blackcurrant bavarois and a gluten-free and vegan raspberry and frangipane tart.

Walkers Shortbread has announced a new range of single-serve snack packs for the out of home and foodservice sectors. The individually wrapped variants, which include dark chocolate and ginger biscuits and a Viennese vanilla bean swirl, come in cases of 60 or 100.

Panasonic has launched the NE-1878, a professional microwave with inverter technology, which enables faster, more even cooking, is better for defrosting food and uses less energy. It’s lighter, by a whopping 12kg, compared to its predecessor, the PanasonicNE-1853, which lowers shipping costs and means it is more portable and easier to move for cleaning.
