‘All peachy' at Peach Pub Company as it acquires 20th property

The Peach Pub Company has said "it's all peachy" after acquiring its 20th property and relaunching two more.

The pub group has bought the Boulters Lock in Berkshire for £350,000 and plans to redevelop the site later this year.

Managing director Hamish Stoddart said: "We have brought another stunning pub into the Peach portfolio, taking it over smoothly with many of the existing, established team joining the Peach family."

"No Peach magic has been applied to the pub yet; plans are being readied in July and we are looking forward to investing a further £500,000 or more to achieve our dream of making Boulters Lock into a £2m-£3m turnover pub."

The company said the pub is currently turning over £30,000 a week, up from £20,000 when it took the property on.

Peach has also refurbished the Bear & Ragged Staff in Cumnor, Oxfordshire, having purchased it in February. The company said the £320,000 refurbishment has seen weekly sales rise from £17,000 to £25,000.

Brookmans Park, Hertfordshire, has also undergone a £340,000 investment creating a more contemporary look and introducing a pizza offer, which has added £8,000 a week to turnover.
