Vineyard GM Marwan Hemchaoui departs

The Vineyard near Newbury in Berkshire is looking for a new general manager following the news that Marwan Hemchaoui is leaving the business.

Hemcahoui is understood to be taking up a new role as general manager of Ellenborough Park, Cheltenham, from 10 September. He replaces Oliver Williams who has moved to Ireland as general manager of the 40-bedroom Cliff at Lyons in Celbridge, Kildare.

Sadly our lovely GM of is leaving us for pastures new. Looking for a superstar to replace him. Any suggestions/ interested parties please DM me. Please retweet.

Vineyard Group managing director Andrew Mckenzie said he was now looking for a replacement for Hemchaoui to run the five-star hotel and spa, which has a 30,000-bottle wine cellar.

Hemchaoui has been general manager at the Vineyard since August 2013, and prior to that worked as the general manager of the Newbury Manor hotel, having owned and run the Square restaurant and Le Petit Square restaurant in Newbury from 2002 until 2010.
