Hotel marketing entrepreneur launches luxury hotel consortium

Hotel marketing entrepreneur Ronak Patel has launched luxury hotel consortium Lavish Hotels & Resorts.

Boasting an "exclusive and diverse" global portfolio of "opulent" properties, the consortium launched this month with hotels in more than 36 countries, including three UK members: the Corinthia, the Dorchester and Rosewood London (pictured).

The hotels are selected based on facilities, experience and service and only 10 hotels per country can be members of the consortium. The properties are anonymously inspected and must demonstrate "exquisite standards of luxury", "unique experiences and services", and an "authentic and extravagant travel experience".

Patel has held several senior marketing positions in hospitality working for luxury boutique hotels and chain brands, and is the founder and chief executive of hotel digital marketing agency Altitude Lifestyle.

He said: "Our aim was to create an exclusive club for the best hotels and resorts that go above and beyond to mesmerise their travellers and enchant them with exquisite destinations and unique experiences."

Lavish members are not charged commissions or booking fees and site users are led to make direct online bookings with the hotels.
