Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted undergoes £6m refurb

Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted has entered the final phase of a £6m refurbishment project.

All public spaces in the hotel are now being upgraded and expanded. In collaboration with Trevillion Interiors, the hotel's atrium will have new furniture, a new lighting design and control system and a fully integrated sound system.

A new seating area will be developed in the atrium lobby, and a new meeting and events reception desk and breakout area will be added to support the newly increased ballroom capacity.

The atrium's wine tower will also be renovated and have a new bar added. The full refurbishment is due to complete in September.

Earlier improvements as part of the wider project included the hotel guestrooms, restaurants and meeting and events spaces.

The hotel's ‘urban' rooms were upgraded to superior and the ‘chili' design rooms were upgraded to business class standards. Investments were also made to refurbish the existing New York Grill Bar into a new restaurant called Station 169. The Radisson Blu flagship restaurant Collage was also introduced.

Within Station 169, a new entrance was added opposite the hotel lobby to create a private dining area, the seating space was increased and the bar and kitchen were upgraded.

Earlier this year, the meeting and events spaces received a £660,000 refurbishment and now features a ballroom with capacity for up to 350 people for dinner and 600 for theatre-style presentations, previously 280 for dinner.
