Family-run Jersey hotel group Seymour Hotels has concluded a £5m investment programme into its island properties.
The group’s portfolio includes the three-AA-star, 286-bedroom Merton hotel at St Saviour; the famous four-AA-star, 143-bedroom Pomme d’Or hotel on St Helier’s Liberation Square; and the four-silver-AA-star, 33-bedroom Greenhills Country House hotel in St Peter’s.
A sum of £2.3m has been invested in a move from steam to low-temperature hot water systems at the Merton hotel for environmental and economic savings.
The investment has also included the refurbishment of all executive bathrooms at the Pomme d’Or, replacing baths with walk-in showers; an IT infrastructure review across the group; switching to electric induction appliances in all kitchens; and refurbishment of the Merton Aquadome gym and Cascades Poolside Café with a new focus on grab-and-go-style healthy eating options.
