This week’s new products: the Garden Cider Company, Hoshizaki’s Snowflake GII series, Cadbury Boost + Protein and more

A look at the latest food, drink and equipment to hit the market.

The Garden Cider Company has added a new blueberry flavour to its line-up of hand-crafted, premium ciders. The business, founded by brothers Ben and Will Filby, relies on donations from more than 4,000 households who bring their spare fruit in return for a share of the cider, for free.

Price From £28 per case of 12 x 500ml bottles

French brand De Buyer has launched a new stainless steel cookware range, Prim’ Appety, with ergonomic welded handles. The range is suitable for all heat surfaces including induction.

Price From £21.30 for a 12cm saucepan

Pantheon’s stainless steel, plug-in CO3 convection oven has four stainless steel racks which can hold four full-size gastronorm pans. It is heated by both a top and bottom element with high-speed twin fans that force hot air throughout every part of the oven cavity, eliminating hotspots and ensuring even cooking.

Price £1,435

The Snowflake GII series from Hoshizaki has been expanded with the introduction of environmentally friendly hydrocarbon units. The entire portfolio uses the naturally occurring R290 refrigerant to achieve better performance and lower running costs than the existing hydrofluorocarbon models.

Price From £1,547

Cracker Drinks Co’s new range of on-the-go drinks, called Crafted, are now available in a smaller 330ml pack, which means that each serving is at least 20% lower in both sugar and calories. The new range includes mango and passion fruit, blueberry and blackberry and still cloudy lemonade flavours.

Price From £1.70 per carton

Cadbury has launched a new version of its Boost bar, the Boost + Protein, which contains 12g of protein – four times more than the original bar – and 32% less sugar.

Price From 65p per bar

Big Hill Distillery’s Spirit of George English Dry Gin, crafted with a hint of Himalayan tea, was recently awarded a SIP Award.

Price £28 per 70cl bottle
