Dishoom to open first Manchester site this winter
Dishoom has announced it will open its first Manchester outpost in Bridge Street's historic Manchester Hall this winter.
The group's seventh site will again pay homage to the old Irani cafés of Bombay and serve executive chef Naved Nasir's signature breakfast offering followed by an the all-day sharing menu of small plates, grills, biryanis, salad plates, rolls and curries.
The refurbished site will also include the Permit Room bar serving a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails.
Dishoom develops individual designs for each opening and the Manchester site will take inspiration from the city's links to Bombay and Freemasonry.
Characteristics will be taken from Bombay's Freemasonry Hall, built in 1843, where the city's most influential and powerful people would meet and discuss philanthropic projects and business deals.
The latest opening will create 100 jobs in Manchester.
