Tender opportunity: The Wardrobe, in Cathedral Close Salisbury
The Wardrobe, in Cathedral Close Salisbury, is a 13th Century listed building that houses a military museum, office and conference space for hire and is a venue for weddings and other functions.
The current facility has a functioning kitchen with 28 covers with further external seating and use of the extensive rear gardens. It offers a year round lunch and snack menu and cream teas during the summer months. It caters for passing tourist trade from the Cathedral area. It provides catering support to The Wardrobe museum and other events, such as meetings and weddings.
Due to the retirement of the current leaseholder this unit is now being placed on the rental market. Alternative business uses will be considered, subject to local restrictions. The Trustees have expressed a preference for the unit to continue as a catering business and outlet.
